 Nearing the summit, we paused to look back. Clearly visible in the middle distance is the plateau that we had crossed prior to descending for a while as the trail traversed the cliff face at the edge of the plateau. Beyond the plateau, the eastern flanks of Hunter Peak drop down towards the Chihuahuan desert. |
