 I met up with Dave, Eric, Geoff, and Rod in Christchurch, and on Sunday morning, 28 March 1993, we flew to Mount Cook. We were introduced to Gerry Kennedy and JR (John Roberts), our alpine skills course instructors, and we collected the gear we would need.
