 Corregidor (an island at the southern tip of the Bataan peninsula in the Philippines): This photograph, taken in either late May or early June 1966, illustrates just how influential the tertiary students’ union was in the Philippines. It was able to call on the country’s navy to take thirty or so university students (who were delegates at an international students’ conference) from Manila to Corregidor on a day’s outing. |
