Climbing Mt Katahdin |
 Near Augusta (the state’s capital), I turned onto US interstate highway 95 and drove north on it for 135 miles / 217 kilometres before heading east on Maine state route 157 to Millinocket, which was my base for climbing Mt Katahdin. The following day – Friday, 30 August 2013 – I drove from Millinocket to the Baxter State Park. |
