The Larapinta Trail, 2023

Introduction: It was Anzac Day, and as a result the four flags flying on the top of Anzac Hill included the New Zealand flag (which can be seen in the centre of this photograph on the flagpole usually reserved for the flag of the Northern Territory). The flag on the left-hand side of the picture is the Australian flag (which was first flown as the official flag of the Commonwealth of Australia in September 1901). On the right-hand side of the picture are the Torres Strait Islander flag and the simple but stunning black, red, and yellow Australian Aboriginal flag.
