The Larapinta Trail, 2023


Day 6 (Wednesday, 3 May 2023) – The Ellery Creek Big Hole and Standley Chasm: … Angkerle Atwatye / Standley Chasm. It was possibly the most stunning of the West MacDonnell ranges’ gaps, gorges, and chasms that we’d seen, and thus good that one doesn’t have to be an “experienced walker” to see this superb example of the Larapinta Trail’s “dramatic geological formations over 1 billion years old.”
