 Thursday, 17 October 1991 – From Machhermo to Gokyo: Another view of our campsite in Gokyo. The mountain dominating the skyline is Cho Oyu (8,188 metres), the sixth highest mountain in the world. We spent three nights camping at Gokyo, and each night was very cold, with temperatures as low as -19 degrees C. |
