An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991 |
 Friday, 25 October 1991 – From our Lobuje East base camp to Dingboche: Dave was the first to leave base camp. Because he’d arranged to go trekking with a friend in the Annapurna region, he hiked down to the Everest View Hotel (which is near Namche Bazar) and successfully managed to get a seat on a flight to Kathmandu. Before he left us, though, Dave recorded one last round of video interviews. |
