 Saturday, 26 October 1991 – From Dingboche to Thyangboche: Our campsite at Dingboche was in a pleasant spot beneath hillside chortens. Dingboche is 4,343 metres above sea-level, and this is a picture of my tent-mate, Jon, washing in the early morning sun, while – in the background – the two Queenslanders, Geoff and Rod, sort out their gear. |
