 As a political scientist I’ve written several articles about the use of billboards, hoardings, and lawn-signs in election campaigns, so was particularly pleased to be able to take this photograph to illustrate the route I took to get from Russellville to Mt Magazine. One of my brothers is a judge in Australia, and two of the signs at this intersection led me to wonder how he would fare if – like Bob Dixon and Mark Thone – he had to be elected to office. (Incidentally, both Dixon and Thone were running as Democrats, and the incumbent candidate Thone retained his seat on the bench.) |
