 The view looking up the first few yards of the trails to the Arkansas state highpoint. The brown sign hanging below the notice board at the start of the trail gives its elevation as 2,600 feet (i.e., 792 metres) above-sea-level. As Signal Hill, the summit of Mt Magazine, is 2,753 feet / 839 metres above sea-level, this meant I had 153 vertical feet / 47 metres to ascend. |
