 After it has been excavated, iron-ore is transported for further processing by a large fleet of haulage trucks. Each truck can carry 240 tonnes of ore. Each tyre on the truck is worth $40,000 – which means that each truck is fitted with approximately a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of tyres. |
