 The Pinkham Notch Visitor Center on Tuesday afternoon, 27 August 2013. I was planning to climb the mountain via the Tuckerman Ravine trail, and the headwall of the ravine – which is a large cirque or amphitheatre – can be seen directly above the tall conifer that’s immediately to the left of the visitor center. |
