 Day 12 (Sunday, 8 October 2017) – Caldas de Reis to Padrón (21.1 kilometres / 13.1 miles): St James is not only depicted as a humble pilgrim, but he is sometimes known as St James the moor-slayer – and this is a statue of him in Padrón’s church of St James in the latter role, about to slice the Saracens below him. |
