 The tramping / hiking tracks on Stewart Island are famed for their mud, and even though the Rakiura Track has been (and is still being) upgraded in order to accommodate increased visitor numbers as a result of the track’s Great Walk status, there were occasional muddy patches – enough to remind you that this wasn’t merely a walk in the park. |
