 Evan flew to Christchurch on Christmas Eve 1996, and the following day Evan, Heather, and I celebrated Christmas with the Hockey family. Heather and I first met Burn and Margaret Hockey three days after we arrived in New Zealand on 5 January 1970, and we have been very close friends ever since then. From left to right in this photograph are Heather, Evan (who was two weeks shy of his 22nd birthday), Bobbi Hockey (who was slightly less than two weeks shy of her 24th birthday), Margaret, and Burn. |
