 It was New Year’s Eve and we’d carried two small bottles of champagne with us to mark the occasion. So, too, had almost everybody else who spent the night in the Lake Mackenzie Hut. I have to confess, though, that neither we nor anyone else stayed up to midnight to see in the New Year: this picture of Heather, Joy, Keith, and me was taken at 9:00 pm! |
