 Antarctica: I took this photograph in either late October or early November 1979 inside an ice-cave at the tip of the tongue of the Erebus glacier. The blue colours in the ice-cave, the billowing mushrooms of rime ice, and the cave’s stalactite-like icicles were mesmerizingly beautiful. |
