 1975 to 1979 On 9 November 1975, Heather, Evan, and I moved into our unit at “Creekside” (the name we’d given, partly in jest, to our cooperative housing venture, because there was well-known Christian Pacifist commune, or intentional community, near Motueka called “Riverside”). Creekside's address was 117 Warrington Street, St Albans, Christchurch. In May 1979, we became the first family to leave the community, but we did so amicably and are still friends with the other founding families. |
