 1983 Our first big family “tramp” (i.e., hike) was in January 1983 when Heather, Evan, and I walked the Abel Tasman coast track from Marahau to Totaranui. Mike Prebble (who had been the Officer-in-Charge at Scott Base during my four months in Antarctica) took this photograph of the three of us at the start of the track. |
