 Thumbs up! Eric and I got back to the trailhead at 4:30 pm. The 15 kilometre trek (9.3 miles) had taken us exactly ten-and-a-half hours – five-and-a-half hours to reach the summit of Mt Bartle Frere; half an hour on the summit; and four-and-a-half hours to go down. We were exhausted and delighted. |
