Climbing Mt Bartle Frere, Queensland

On 29 August 2011, Eric Hodge and I climbed Mt Bartle Frere (1,622 metres / 5,321 feet), the highest mountain in Queensland. It was the fifth of the Australian state and territory highpoints that Eric and I climbed together, and it was probably the hardest: heat, humidity, and leeches made the climb memorable, but did not make it easy.
