 Day 6 (Wednesday, 29 September 2010) – Los Arcos to Logroño (28.0 kms): ETA, spray-painted on the side of a building on the outskirts of Sansol, is short for Euskadi Ta Askatasuna, and can be translated as Basque Homeland and Freedom. In early September 2010, ETA proclaimed a cease-fire in its separatist struggle for independence, and in November 2012 announced that it was considering disbanding. |
