 Day 9 (Saturday, 2 October 2010) – Azofra to Grañón (21.7 kms): About five kilometres from Santo Domingo de la Calzada, there’s a small village replete with new speculative housing developments. The global financial crisis and the collapse of the Spanish mortgage market meant that the vast bulk of the houses were empty. Cirueña looked like a ghost town. |
