 Day 11 (Monday, 4 October 2010) – Belorado to San Juan de Ortega (24.0 kms): There was a series of interesting graphs in the San Juan de Ortega hostel. This one charts the rise in the number of Camino de Santiago pilgrims. Note the huge jump each holy year (when St James’ Day falls on a Sunday). 2010 was also a holy year and the Camino de Santiago had more than a quarter of a million pilgrims on it. |
