Camino de Santiago |
 Day 18 (Monday, 11 October 2010) – Ponferrada to Trabadelo (32.5 kms): In view of the fact that we'd caught a taxi earlier in the day, we visited the Puerta del Perdon – the door of pardon – at the Iglesia de Santiago. In olden times, pilgrims who’d got this far but were too ill to make it all the way to Santiago de Compostela could enter the church through these doors and, by doing so, be pardoned for their sins. |
