I decided that balancing on the brass rod while taking a photograph of myself was too difficult a trick to perform, so opted instead for this summit shot. With my head representing ten and holding up nine fingers, I’m indicating that the south shoulder of Mt Frissell was the 19th state highpoint that I had climbed / visited. Connecticut’s highpoint is 2,380 feet / 725 metres above sea-level, and it had taken me an hour to climb the 960 feet / 293 metres from the trailhead to the highpoint.
