 … my father drove Stuart and me from the Loteni Nature Reserve (which is underlined in red near the bottom of this map) to the Cathedral Peak hotel (underlined in red near the top of this map). This photograph, incidentally, is one I took of part of the map on page 111 of Dave Dodds’ 1975 book, A Cradle of Rivers: The Natal Drakensberg. Our climbing goal – Cleft Peak (10,764 feet / 3,281metres above sea-level) – is also underlined in red. |
