 Thirteen years after our April 1962 climbing trip, Dave Dodds’ book, A Cradle of Rivers: The Natal Drakensberg, was published by Purnell. It contained seven photos of mine – all black-and-white pictures – after I’d given the negatives to Dave before I left South Africa permanently in August 1962 (to go initially to the United States, and then to Australia, the UK, and finally to settle in New Zealand). |
