 That evening in Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana, I swigged a Louisiana-brewed beer and toasted my success on Driskill Mountain, as well as the fact that I had completed hiking to or visiting all the six state highpoints I’d hoped to visit during my two-week swing though the south – namely, Missouri (26 April), Arkansas (27 April), Mississippi (29 April), Alabama (30 April), Florida (2 May), and Louisiana (6 May). |
