Looking down onto the Brule River’s Devil’s Kettle. The right-hand (or eastern) portion of these falls drops about 50 feet / 15 metres into the pool that can be seen in the middle of the bottom part of the picture. However, the western half of the Devil’s Kettle waterfall (which is on the left-hand side of this photograph) plunges into a large pothole … and then disappears and, apparently, no-one has yet determined where the water that flows into the sinkhole actually goes. |
