Climbing Eagle Mountain, Minnesota

On 12 November 2004, Cathy Fitch, Evan Roberts, and I hiked to the top of Eagle Mountain, the highest point in Minnesota. Eagle Mountain is 2,301 feet / 701 metres above sea-level and is the 37th highest of the United States’ fifty state highpoints. Eagle Mountain was the second US state highpoint that I climbed, but it was my first in the 48 contiguous states.
