Am I the first person to think the Colorado state flag is a bit odd? It looks more like a banner for a commercial company or a real estate agent than for a state. However, the flag does have the advantage of being easily recognisable. What is more, in addition to standing for Colorado, the “C” in the centre of the flag also represents the state flower (the columbine) and the state’s nickname (the centennial state, because Colorado joined the Union in 1876). |
