... we reached the summit at 10:35 am. It had taken us a little over six-and-a-half hours to get from our Bonney Pass campsite to the top of Gannett Peak. From left to right are Squeek Steele, Carl Lohmann, Nigel Roberts, Mark Bergstrom, and Rob Suero. It was a perfect day, and we were all thrilled to have succeeded. (Incidentally, Gannett Peak was named after Henry Gannett, a geographer who has been called “the father of government mapmaking”.) |
