 Gannett Peak was the third US highpoint I’d climbed. I’d previously reached the summit of Denali / Mt McKinley, Alaska, on 6 July 1997, and – together my son Evan Roberts and his then fiancée (now wife) Cathy Fitch – the top of Eagle Mountain, Minnesota, on 12 November 2004. |
