To the north of the Grand Teton National Park is Yellowstone, the oldest national park in the world. An official Park Service brochure notes that “New Zealand and Iceland are known for geysers, but nowhere are there as many as in Yellowstone”, so naturally I went to see the most famous geyser of them all: Old Faithful (which – true to form – erupted on schedule at 4 o’clock the afternoon I was there). |
