Climbing Granite Peak |
 Marc Appling, 47, worked for Jackson Hole Mountain Guides (the company with whom I’d climbed Gannett Peak the previous week). Originally from San Mateo, California, Marc lived in Salt Lake City. Marc had been a serious climber since his teens and had climbed Yosemite’s El Capitan while still at high school. I was very sorry to learn that Marc died four years after I met him. |
