 The afternoon’s first clap of thunder occurred at 1:48 pm, but neither rain nor lightning threatened us. As a result, we enjoyed a quiet, restful afternoon (I even slept for a while). The evening was cold enough to me to dig down into my pack and find my balaclava. |
