 Finally, at 12:45 pm – five-and-a-half hours after leaving the spot where we’d camped on the flanks of Tempest Mountain – we arrived back at the trailhead. From left to right, Scott Faulkenburg, Nigel Roberts (I was wearing gloves to stop my hands from getting sunburnt), Jeff Williams, and Marc Appling form a happy quartet of successful summiteers. |
