Climbing Harney Peak |
 On Tuesday morning, 6 August 2013, John Fitch and I climbed North Dakota’s highpoint, White Butte, (which is marked “A” near the top left-hand corner of this map). In the afternoon, we drove via US highway 85 to South Dakota, and then continued on US highways 85, I-90 and 16 to Mt Rushmore (“B” on this map). Finally, we drove late at night from Mt Rushmore to Sylvan Lake Lodge in the Custer State Park (which is marked “C” in the bottom left-hand corner of this map). |
