Climbing Harney Peak, South Dakota

On 7 August 2013, John Fitch and I climbed Harney Peak, the highest mountain in South Dakota. It's 7,242 feet / 2,207 metres above sea-level. Harney Peak is the highest mountain in the United States east of the Rockies, and the fifteenth highest of the fifty US state highpoints. It was the 15th US state highpoint that I'd climbed, and John's Fitch's fourth.
