Climbing Harney Peak

A three-shot panoramic view looking south-west from the summit of Harney Peak. In the foreground in the middle of the picture is the dam that was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939. Behind it, in the middle distance, is the large granite dome that’s probably the highest accessible natural point in South Dakota as a result of the fact that a watchtower now sits on Harney Peak’s summit.
