 Twenty-five minutes after leaving the trailhead, these signs alerted us to the fact that we were nearing the Black Elk Wilderness portion of the state park. (If we’d turned left just past the sign, we would have entered the wilderness on trail number 2. However, we bore right, stayed on trail number 9, and didn’t enter the wilderness for another half-hour.) |
