 First attempt: The route we took to get to Mt Hood in both 2007 and 2009 – driving west through settlements with colourful names such as Zigzag, Rhododendron, and Government Camp – is marked in brown on this map. In 2007 we returned to Lake Oswego via the same route. However, after climbing Mt Hood in 2009, Eric and I returned to Portland via Hood River and Bonneville (along the route marked in purple on the map). |
