Climbing Mt Hood |
 Two years later, Eric and I returned to Oregon. After climbing in Colorado and Idaho, we headed west along interstate highway 84. We reached the Columbia River at noon on 4 July 2009, and could see Mt Hood shimmering in the distance – roughly 100 miles / 160 kilometres away. |
