 Looking out over Mt Hood's icy summit rim towards Mt Adams (12,281 feet / 3,743 metres, on the right), and – in the far distance (to the left of Mt Adams) – Mt Rainier, 14,410 feet / 4,392 metres, the highest mountain in the state of Washington, which Eric and I had successfully climbed exactly two years and two days previously. |
