 Shortly after leaving the Katahdin Stream Falls, the trail was an immaculate stairway to heaven. (In their book Highpoint Adventures, Charlie and Diane Winger describe this section of the trail as “a fine rock stairway … reminiscent of those found along the Inca Trail in Peru.”) |
