Climbing Mt Katahdin |
 After I’d been on the trail for a little more than an hour and a half, there was a clearing in the forest and I was able to take this two-shot panoramic photograph looking north at the Owl (which is near the right-hand edge of the picture and is 3,718 feet / 1,133 metres above sea-level) and at Barren Mountain (3,696 feet / 1,127 metres; in the centre of the panorama). |
