Climbing Mt Katahdin |
 I reached the summit of Mt Katahdin at 10:43 am on Friday, 30 August 2013. It had taken me slightly less than four hours to cover the 4,190-foot / 1,277-metre elevation gain from the trailhead to the top of the mountain (which meant my rate of ascent was a bit better than a thousand feet an hour, which pleased me). Note that by the time I reached the summit, it was covered in clouds and, as a result, I took no panoramic photos during the time I spent on top of the mountain. |
