 Mt Katahdin was the 23rd US state highpoint I’d climbed / visited. It’s the 22nd-highest of the American state highpoints, and is rated the 15th hardest of the US state highpoints to climb. In his book, Fifty State Summits, Paul Zumwalt said that Katahdin is "the most difficult of the state summits east of the Mississippi." |
